I don’t know about the weather where you are, but around here it’s starting to get chilly. Sure, the sun is still shining, and the knobby-kneed kids climbing onto the school bus are still bravely wearing shorts, but there is a chill in the air that definitely says autumn is coming.
Noooooo!!!!!!!
It’s not that autumn is a bad thing. We get beautiful fall leaves, new school clothes (at least, the kids do), spooky Halloween decorations, and a wide variety of pumpkin-spice-flavored desserts. I love autumn. But I’m not ready to relinquish summer—not quite yet. So, like those shivering kids wearing shorts, I’ll cling to the coconut scent of sunscreen and the sweet syrupy flavor of snow cones, at least for a few more weeks.
In honor of summer memories, I’d like to share this bright and sunshiny layout by Nona Davenport. And even if it’s a little too chilly to pull out my own Slip’n’Slide, at least I can live vicariously through Nona’s scrapbook pages.
